Overview
I was chosen to be one of two designers to work on a multimedia website about climate change, economic hardship, and political resistance in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The project included an immersive partnership with Universidad Católica Argentina where we worked with local student producers to find, develop, and illustrate stories.
Goal
Develop a style guide and prototype for a multimedia website to house five stories. Create an interactive element to provide more context to “The Scattering: A Story of Home and Migration.”

Style Guide

Low-Fidelity Prototype
The three main pages we needed were the homepage, story page template, and about page. We also designed the mobile version as well.
High-Fidelity Prototype
We applied feedback from both our interactive team and visual communications (videographers and photographers) team. The iteration process taught me to how to balance multiple stakeholder needs while keeping design and usability at the forefront.
Interactive Map
For this interactive element, I learned R studio to clean and aggregate data from the United Nations. Our story followed a family reflecting on their interconnectedness as children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren migrated to different countries. This interactive helped contextualize Argentina as a nation of migrants due to political, economic, and environmental unrest.
